Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Will Not Be Attending Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra's Wedding

Even though Priyanka Chopra made it to her bestie Meghan Markle's royal wedding in May, the newly minted Duchess of Sussex won't be returning the favor.

Chopra is all set to wed Nick Jonas this weekend in India in a multicelebration event that's already begun, but it doesn't sound like Markle will be in attendance. According to an Us Weekly source, “Meghan will not be going to Priyanka's wedding, especially now that she is pregnant.”

Even though this is a big life milestone for Chopra, we imagine this declined RSVP won't cause too much bad blood between the friends-Markle is understandably very busy right now.

The new duchess announced in October that she is expecting her first child with Prince Harry. The soon to be first-time parents are taking their new roles very seriously and keeping travel to a minimum. TMZ reported last month that the royal highnesses would be postponing their United States tour, originally scheduled for spring 2019, to the fall. According to a source, Markle wants some time to "adjust to motherhood" before heading back onto the tour circuit.

In addition to prepping for baby, Markle and Harry are also busy with a move. Kensington Palace confirmed last week that the couple would be moving out of Nottingham Cottage on Kensington Palace's grounds and into Frogmore Cottage on Queen Elizabeth II's Windsor Estate in early 2019 "as they prepare for the arrival of their first child.”

Their new house is currently being renovated, but will include 10 bedrooms, a gym, a yoga studio, and a separate nursery.

Despite Markle's lack of attendance, Chopra's nuptials are shaping up to be a royal affair. The couple kicked their wedding week off with a puja Wednesday, and then flew to Jodhpur on Thursday for the Sangeet, Mehendi, and Haldi ceremonies. The Hindu and Christian celebrations will take place over the weekend at the lavish Taj Umaid Bhawan Palace, one of the largest residences in the world and the primary residence of the Jodhpur royal family.

It sounds like Chopra took some wedding inspo from Markle after all.
