After weeks of back-and-forth, 'are-they-or-aren't-they' rumors, Justin Bieber, 24, and Hailey Baldwin, 21, really are married, with Bieber reportedly confirming the nuptial news himself to a fan.
Earlier this week, the couple was spotted grabbing breakfast together at Joan's on Third in Studio City in Los Angeles, when a fan approached them asking for a little bit of clarification on their relationship status. "I said to them, 'I don't want to say congratulations, but are you married?'", the source told the Daily Mail. "Justin said, 'Yes, we are married.' He said he has a lot of baggage and called Hailey 'an angel' for sticking by his side, but she just rolled her eyes."
Until now, the couple had yet to confirm or deny whether or not they had actually tied the knot. The speculation started in mid-September, when Baldwin and Bieber were spotted at a courthouse, reportedly obtaining marriage licenses. At the time, a "religious" source confirmed to People that the couple had legally married in the courthouse, but were also planning to have a religious ceremony and celebration with their family and friends. "They're going to have a big blowout, in front of God and everyone they love," said the insider, adding, "What happened at the courthouse is a courthouse thing-a legal thing. But marriage is two people making a vow before God and the people they love."
However, a few weeks later, Baldwin denied the marriage in a now-deleted tweet, writing, “I understand where the speculation is coming from, but I'm not married yet!” Between that and Bieber later reportedly referring to Baldwin as his 'wife' during a trip to Canada, we were getting whiplash from all the contradicting reports.
However, now it seems like we finally have an answer! We're just glad these two aren't going the ways of Ariana and Pete…
